Notice of the 2024 AGM

As we come to the end of another great season of rugby at the club, I am pleased to share the notice of the 2023/24 AGM which will be held at the Clubhouse on Wednesday 1st May 2024 at 7:30pm.

In addition to the notice, agenda and proxy voting form, I have also attached a link to the minutes of last year's AGM, this year's committee reports, the draft accounts for the 2022/23 season and a revised version of the constitution for your consideration. We will be holding a Pre-AGM meeting on Wednesday 17th April at 8pm in the clubhouse to discuss the revised constitution should you wish to attend and have your say on the proposed changes – time will be short at the AGM to discuss this in detail.

Any member may stand for any position on the committee (save for the position of Club President which may only be filled by an Honorary Member). The sign-up sheet to is now up in the clubhouse (on the notice board outside Reilly’s Bar) and any member wishing to put their name forward is encouraged to do so. Please note that any appointment is subject to completion of the RFU safer recruitment process that the club has implemented this year.

The committee would be very keen to hear from any member that might wish to stand as Club President, Social Media Officer or Vice Treasurer. Please contact volunteer@chemsfordrugby.club for details of the role and what is involved.

We would like as many members as possible to attend in person but if you are unable to attend for any reason, you can vote by proxy using the attached form. Please return completed forms to the clubhouse or you may email completed forms to secretary@chelmsfordrugby.club
