Chelmsford 2nd XV were at home for the first time in 2024 and with all three senior men's teams at home they found themselves on the car park pitch against Brentwood. With the visitors winning the toss they decided to play up the slope in the first half.

Chelmsford needed to play their shape and patterns and an 'in game' target had been set of five recycles in the final third.
