Chelmsford U15s (current Cup Champions of Essex) travelled to Kent for the first of two games against Alyesford (currently Cup Champions of Kent).
In the A team game, Chelmsford and Aylesford played a tight first half that saw both sides trading tries. Tactical changes made in the final third of the game saw Chelmsford lose their structure and the concede three lates tries to lose the game 10-29. In the B team game, Chelmsford dominated from the off scoring 9 unanswered tries to win the game 0-53.
The boys are very much looking forward to welcoming Alyesford back to Coronation Park in March for the return leg! However, there is plenty of rugby in the short term with games on the 12th away to Bury St Edmunds and home to Dagenham, 19th home to Bancroft and away to Mistley.
