Chelmsford U15s 42 Bancroft 0

After an unexpected loss to Barking U15s in the previous round, the u15s were keen to get back to winning ways against a talented side from Bancroft. It was a fast start from the Chelmsford boys who ran in four tries in the first half to take a 28-0 lead at the break. The second half continued in much the same way with Chelmsford scoring two more tries to reach the maximum 39 points difference needed for the game to end.

Meanwhile, a second Chelmsford team travelled over the border to Suffolk to play Mistley RFC. Despite the Chelmsford boys having much of the possession in the first half, Mistley scored first to post a 5-0 lead at half time. Chelmsford levelled he score early in the second half before allowing Mistley to strike again, this time converting to take a 12-5 lead going into the last couple of minutes. Chelmsford refused to give up and in the dying seconds of the game managed to score in the corner to put themselves a kick away from a well deserved draw. However, despite having the distance, the accuracy wasn't there and the game ended 12-10 to Mistley U15s.

Two really good games this week and two great matches to look froward to next Sunday. One team travels to Westcliff to continue their defence of the Essex Cup for the third straight season while a second team will travel to Wanstead to play a development friendly.
