This is the point where coaches decide how far they want to progress their coaching and in which direction. Some coaches will specialise in refereeing, while others will remain focused on coaching. Both are equally as important to the development of your groups.

The ERCA and ERRA are Level 2 courses. On completion of the ERCA, coaches become members of the England Rugby Coaching Association. On completion of the ERRA, referees can join a referee society should they choose.
After a period of coaching practice, qualified coaches and referees can progress to the advanced course (Level 3) to continue your development. This is a significant investment for both the individual and the club so applications are considered on a case by case basis.
