Chelmsford RFC are proud to support Wooden Spoon Essex, the newly formed Essex branch of Wooden Spoon. Wooden Spoon is the children's charity of rugby, working across the UK and Ireland to fund life changing projects for children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.

Wooden Spoon have been funding around 70 projects a year since 1983, supporting everything from respite and medical treatment centres to sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds and community based programmes.

We are delighted to be hosting the launch event for Wooden Spoon Essex, which sees the Essex Bishops take on Wooden Spoon Essex XV at Coronation Park in a curtain raiser ahead of the Chelmsford RFC 1st XV final home game of the season.
