With the option of entering the RFU league structure, Chelmsford RFC, along with a number of other Essex clubs, have decided to enter the 2nd XV into these leagues.

This has created an extra Counties - Essex league and there will now be both a Counties 2 and Counties 3 division.

Chelmsford 2nd XV have been placed in Counties 2 Essex and will be playing the following teams…

We look forward to hosting some different clubs in the 2026/27 season and travelling to the Islands of Mersea and Canvey!
