The Bluebirds hosted Southend for their final game of their season and came away with a 48-22 win to finish 4th overall.
Meanwhile over at Romford, no fewer than 3 Chelmsford Youth teams reached the finals of the Essex Cup with the u15s and u16s taking on Westcliff and the Colts (u17/u18s) facing Maldon. While the u15s made light work of Westcliff to lift their first county cup, the u16s and Colts made harder work of their games, both waiting for the final minute to secure victory. The u13s and u14s also won their final games of the season in the Waterfall cup competition to finish on a high!
With fewer and fewer players choosing to play rugby as adults across the country, the youth section of the club is more important than ever for the future of CRFC. To achieve so much success at county level is a great sign of our future and we are immensely proud of what our young Blueboys and Bluebirds have achieved this season.
More info to follow on the individual finals.
