The 3rd XV travelled to top of the table Basildon knowing that an away win would put the cat amongst the pigeons and a jump over the league leaders in Merit Table Division 4 East.

A combination of youth and experience, ably lead by captain Moore, saw the boys edge a narrow victory in a cracking game.
