Chelmsford Ladies moved one step closer to promotion today with a 47-14 victory over Beccehamians. Despite squandering a number of chances through over enthusiasm, and the loss of outside half Silvia Izquierda to a knee injury in the first five minutes, the Ladies imposed themselves on the League's lowest ranked side. Although conceding two breakaway tries, the Ladies were never in danger of losing this game as tries by Nicola Lopez, Kerry Moss, Anneka Willis and Ali Ewers, with six out of seven converted by Nicola Lopez, sealed a good away win.

The fixture saw the welcome return of Rachael Tappenden after her ankle injury and a sound debut for Michelle Saville, who impressed with some strong defence and showed real pace and good instinct in possession. With only 16 available players from their 39 strong squad, this was a good win from a depleted side, but the Ladies will need to step up a gear to deal with Canterbury at Coronation Park next week.

Two wins will see the Ladies gain promotion and they need your support to help them through. Get to the game and get vocal next Sunday!
