Chelmsford Rugby Football Club

The 2022-23 season starts on Sunday 4th September 2022.

The U9's welcome boys and girls of all abilities in school year 4.

We train and/or play on Sunday's through the season; training is from 9am-10am.

The sessions are led by club coaches and supported by a team of enthusiastic, DBS checked, volunteer parents/carers. Parents/carers are requested to remain at the session with their children.

For newcomers, the first three sessions are free, so you can check that both rugby, and the club, are right for your son or daughter. After which you and your child will be asked to join Chelmsford RFC and register your child with the RFU.

We train in all but the very worst weathers, so please make sure your child comes dressed to remain warm and dry through the session (they can always take layers off). Studded boots are essential, especially when the ground starts to get slippery; as is a drinks bottle to ensure they stay hydrated. You should expect them to get good and muddy (they always do!!).

New players are always warmly welcomed so if your child would be interested in having a try, come along on a Sunday morning.
