2. Report a safeguarding issue


Recognising and reporting a safeguarding incident

A quick reference guide is attached below.

If you think something is a safeguarding issue, even if you are not 100% certain, please report it to a member of the club's safeguarding team. The Chelmsford safeguarding team are often seen on Sundays (and midweek training sessions) are easily identifiable by their red safeguarding arm bands.

You can also contact the Essex County Safeguarding Officer , Angela Arnold on 07597 080020 or the RFU HQ safeguarding team directly on 0208 831 6655 (this is a 24hr unmanned service) or via email at safeguarding@rfu.com

If a child is in immediate danger or requires medical attention then please do not hesitate to contact the emergency services on 999. You can also ring the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 to report immediate risks.
